Little Pony Progress

Very quick blog today, I wanted to post a photo of Angela's little Comet I'm painting for her.

He is still very much a work in progress still and I have loads to do to him but he is getting there, eventually he will be a little dappled dun. Unfortunately the light here at the moment is rubbish for taking pic's  and doesn't show all his colouring properly but when he is completed I will get some more that do. I can't wait to get him all tacked up with a rider...just hope Angela likes him as I had free rein on his coat! *bites fingernails*.

Another Hunter Set....

I'm slowly working through my order book towards my break next month to make up my own show tack and get some of my herd painted up, so much to do!

This is my lastest completed set  for Jessica, I soooo want to keep this saddle as it is really lovely in hand. I shall have to force myself to put it into its packaging ready to ship over the pond tomorrow morning...on the other hand it will be heading straight out and into the show ring on Jessica's Victrix so it is going to a very good home.

Yet another saddle set I need to recreate for myself at some point. Hmmm, my 'must make myself' list grows ever longer......

Dressage Set

Finally I have managed to complete 1 of my own show sets! Here are a few crappy pictures, my camera just refuses to show things in the colours they actually are...seriously need a new one.

This set was lovely to do as it just all went so well, even his leather braided reins came out really nicely.  I did however have one moment when I had done a buckle with it's tongue the wrong way around, not noticeable you might say BUT I knew it was there so had to take it apart and redo it or it would niggle at me forever, lol. His bridle has 2 browbands as I just couldn't decide so he has a over sized Swarovski crystal one and a raised version.
Quincey was one of my first proper customised horses and I'm really pleased with how he has turned out, he can now start getting ready to head off to his foster mom for his show in April.

Just my  big customised hunter boy left to go now....

Finally after much tech help from my new website hosts adviser (he was brilliant!) I have managed to link up my original domain name to my new one! I'm so pleased with myself as it was a learning curve but once I knew what went where it was actually quite easy and it worked straight away....one more thing off my 'to do' list, yay!

I have been a busy bee this week so far finishing off sets and getting them shipped out to their new owners. This one has gone off to Kathleen, I'm really pleased with this brown dressage set for Willoughby....

Then I finished off part 2 of my trade with Dani, this lovely hunter set is heading over the water with the rest of her new tack as I type.....

This set was I have to say the worst one I have made to date! It fort me right until the end and I seriously thought that I wouldn't get it completed. Every single piece had to be hand cut, dyed & sealed, no nice pre cut leather lace for me to play with! grrrr! Thankfully at the last minute it all just pulled together and I had the normal urge of wanting to add it to my own collection.

Now I'm currently working on another hunter set for Victrix and my own (yes! my own!!!) Upper level dressage set for my little boy 'Quincey'. I'm determined to get him ready for his show in April, I just can't decide whether to go for a plain raised or over sized crystal browband for bridle? Decisions, decisions?! Normally everyone else makes them, lol.

And Lastly, My Little bouncer is slowly coming along, he has been shelved now for a while as I ran out of apoxie sculpt and time but hopefully I will finish him soon...

I want him as a Welsh section C cob or a Highland pony, another desision to make....

One Step Forward and Three Steps Back!

I thought that in the evenings over the pass few weeks I would start putting my new website together which actually started to go quite well, then when it came to transferring my original domain name over it all started to fall apart! I have now got half a new website up and running with a new domain name, my old domain is currently in limbo and my old website gone! Nooooo!! I think I shall be bald very soon if this continues.

On the plus side my new site is working and is slowly coming together here www.cktinytack.com if you take a peep please remember it is still under construction so parts are missing and some links aren't working. ;)

On a sad note my Lab was send over to doggie heaven on Monday. She has been ill since before Christmas and has done so well to carry on until now, don't get me wrong she was happily bumbling along as 'normal Tammy' but on Monday she went exactly the same as she did before Christmas when we called out the emergency vet so we knew what was coming. We has been told then that the next time we visited we would have to make a tough decision....

Here's a piccy of Tammy....trying to sneak into the cats bed, lol. Bless her.

She was originally a rescue dog who came into our local center at 51kgs, she couldn't walk and seriously looked like a beached whale... neglect comes in may forms. You should have heard the snide comments and funny looks people would give as we started to take her out. It took us time to get the weight off her but the loose skin never really disappeared so she always looked sort of podgy around the front end, hence all them wrinkles! We had the pleasure of knowing her for 5 years and she was a real character till the end, I can only hope she had a happy life with us and our other Labrador Benson.

Run free my friend, we all miss you xx
